Second Annual Peconic River Kayakathon

This was a fund raising event sponsored by ActivEntrepeneur on behalf of Peconic Baykeeper, Long Island Sierra Club, and the Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Preservation, and Clubhouse of Suffolk. It consisted of a 5 mile kayakathon from the Atlantis Marine World dock down the Peconic River to Iron Point where kayakers participated in a beach clean-up and planted native beach grasses under the guidance of Kevin McAllister from Peconic Baykeeper.
